Floyd Medical Center Earns Patient Safety and Medical Excellence Recognition.

Floyd Medical Center has received national recognition in 2020 in the areas of Patient Safety and Medical Excellence by CareChex Awards by Quantros. 

The awards include Top 10 Percent in the Nation, Region and State for Overall Medical Care in the areas of Medical Excellence and Patient Safety. Floyd Medical Center was also recognized as being Number 1 in the state and Number 1 in the market for Overall Medical Care in Patient Safety. 

In addition, Floyd Medical Center was recognized as being in the Top 10 Percent in the Nation for Medical Excellence for the following services: 

  • Gastrointestinal care
  • Neurological care
  • Sepsis care
  • Spinal fusion
  • Spinal surgery
  • Women’s health

For Patient Safety, CareChex recognized Floyd Medical Center for being in the Top 10 Percent in the Nation in the following service areas:

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Gastrointestinal care
  • Heart attack treatment
  • Major bowel procedures
  • Pneumonia care
  • Pulmonary care
  • Sepsis care
  • Spinal fusion
  • Spinal surgery
