Community health needs assessments

Not-for-profit hospitals are required to assess the health needs of the community periodically. We use the assessments, in part, to determine community benefit activities and develop community health improvement strategies.

A community health improvement strategy (CHIS) is a roadmap of interventions we plan to implement to improve public health. It also lists the partners we will work with and metrics for measuring impact.
