The strategic combination of Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic in 2024 created an integrated health care system in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. With our expanded services, we’re here for your complete health needs, right where you live, work and play.
Harbin Clinic has served northwest Georgia for more than 150 years and is Georgia’s largest privately owned, multispecialty physician group. Atrium Health Floyd has been in operation for more than 80 years as one of the largest health care providers in the region.
Now in our ninth decade of working together, our organizations likely have touched every family in our community, beginning at life’s first breath.

A shared history of caring
Community service has been a long-held value for Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic. Our relationships with our communities are built on a history dating to 1865 for Harbin Clinic and 1942 for Atrium Health Floyd.
Now that we are one, we are building on our shared history of convening, leading and serving to improve our communities. For example:
- Our nearly 6,000 teammates are leaders and volunteers for many community organizations. They share their time and talents to promote a wide range of important causes.
- We also have a shared history of working together from establishing The Breast Center to expanding the cardiac catheterization department.
- Our school partnerships bring virtual care and free athletic training to local schools. We also offer health and career fairs, tuition assistance opportunities and special programs for students interested in careers in health care.
