Polk County Schools
Putting students first
We’re honored to provide health care for the Polk County school system with the following services.
School nurses
As students settle into their daily routines, our school nurses will assist those who take medications and offer advice to families about health care issues. In the event of an emergency, our nurses are on-site to provide medical attention.
Athletic trainers
At Cedartown and Rockmart High Schools, our athletic trainers work to prevent students from getting hurt and can help an injured athlete get back into the game. In addition, our Emergency Medical Services provide medical attention at many sporting events.
Virtual doctor visits
Students, faculty members and staff of Cherokee Elementary School and Van Wert Elementary School can conveniently see a provider using video chat without leaving school. Most sick visits as well as disease management appointments are eligible for virtual doctor visits.
