Maintaining your health and wellness means getting the care you need, when you need it, the way that works best for you and your lifestyle. That's why Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic has multiple virtual telehealth options available for all ages.
Ways virtual telehealth can be used:
Telehealth options
Telehealth is sometimes called telemedicine appointments, virtual visits or online doctor’s visits. The goal is to give you access to virtual care when and where you need it.
Telehealth includes virtual visits that focus on diagnosing, treating and monitoring medical conditions. Urgent care video visits may be used for injuries and illnesses that are minor and not considered to be life-threatening. We offer different options for you and your loved ones.
Virtual primary care
If you prefer to handle your health care mostly online, we can meet your needs through Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic virtual primary care. You can establish relationship-based care with a virtual, board-certified family medicine provider – not only for sick visits but for any routine health care and ongoing health care needs. We also have dedicated pediatric providers that treat ages 0-17 with Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic pediatric virtual primary care.
Appointments are required and can be made easily online seven days a week. Family medicine providers are available for all ages from 6 a.m.-11 p.m. Pediatric providers are available for ages 0-17 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Common uses of virtual primary care include:
- Management of chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure
- Sick visits, including for colds, sore throats and rashes
- Treatment of minor injuries, like sprains and strains
- Mental health services
- Medicare annual wellness visits
- eVisit secure messaging for minor conditions without an appointment

To start a visit, create a MyAtriumHealth account or sign in to an existing one.
Video visits are available to individuals of all ages, from newborns to adults, as long as you’re in Georgia, North Carolina or South Carolina at the time of your visit.
We also offer pediatric urgent care video visits for ages 0 to 17. Atrium Health pediatric providers are available 7 a.m.-11 p.m., 7 days a week.
There’s a lot of care we can provide over video, but you’ll still need to come in person for physical exams and lab work. Sometimes during your video visit, your provider will decide it’s best to see you in person. If this happens, you won’t be charged for the video visit.
Primary care video visits allow you to connect with your provider or a member of your care team to discuss new health concerns, to follow up on a previous visit or to check on chronic conditions.
Primary care video visits are available to all ages, including newborns. With virtual primary care video visits, our virtual family medicine providers treat all ages, while our virtual pediatric providers treat ages 0-17.
Atrium Health uses a patented system to make sure every video visit is HIPAA compliant, secure and confidential.
Video visits are often the same price as office visits. Insurance coverage varies, and services may be subject to any applicable copays, coinsurance and deductibles within your health plan. Please call your insurance provider for more information on your specific plan coverage.

You need a secure internet connection and phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone. You might also need your insurance card and a form of photo identification. Learn more about getting ready for your video visit.

Most visits last about 15 minutes:
- Have a valid form of photo identification ready, like a driver's license, military identification, passport or state-issued identification card.
- After you sign up for a video visit, complete the eCheck-In and then select the “Begin Video Visit" button. A waiting room will open in your web browser where you will wait until a provider is available to join.
- Get connected to a health care provider who will evaluate your symptoms and discuss treatment options with you.
After your visit, the details will be added to your electronic medical record, so your primary care doctor can connect with you seamlessly if you need follow-up care.
